Menu, a minimalist home and furniture brand out of Denmark, just opened a new showroom in Copenhagen with the help of Norm Architects. The showroom, Menu Space, will function as a co-working space, office, and cafe. It seems like the perfect recipe for success! 

There seem to be more and more co-working spaces opening with similar design-focused concepts, like the now global We Work brand, and the new A/D/O in Brooklyn, NY. Menu and Norm Architects sought out to create a sense of community among designers and design lovers with an open space plan, prompting creatives to share ideas and spark collaborations.

The architects designing Menu Space were influenced by its location in the up and coming neighborhood of Nordhavn, near Copenhagen’s harbor, and used the natural materials found nearby to create the raw and industrial design. 

While the bones of Menu Space are concrete and steel, there is a fluid movement that occurs based on the needs of those visiting, including sheer drapes used to create privacy when needed.  

If you’ve been following along for a while now, you know that there is a very special place in my wanderlusting heart for Copenhagen. This city was the host of my very 1st trip to Europe and the source of many, many design and style inspirations since. If you happen to be visiting Copenhagen sometime soon, plan a dinner at one of my favorite places in the city, Höst, which is designed in Menu furniture and ceramics.
